"Beautiful People"...that nonsensical term dates back to the 1960s. There was even a song about it by Kenny O'Dell among others I have long forgotten. I never liked that idea. Who determines what a beautiful person really is? Society? Our masters? The elite?
The only beautiful person is the one who is not false, cares not what others think and does not cater to society or anyone else. That's how I see it. An authentic person come Heck or High Water.
Okay, I made that silly comment in response to the TITLE, before I read your post. Sorry, I didn't intend to make light of what you're saying. I think this is right ON. And it's typical, to my mind, of the Nasties, the Oligarchy, to try and demean, lessen the value, treat and get people to treat others as without value, without worthiness of kindness and compassion... This is what we're up against... psychopaths with endless funding who want to destroy us, and everything of value in the world, and actually the world itself-- so they can remake it in their OWN image, and be GODS.
Yep, pretty damn sick.
There's just one thing I might argue, just to argue, and that is that Human Beings are naturally competitive... That we naturally STRIVE? Oh, yes! But competition could well be something that the Nasties of old AND new try to encourage and reward in us, because it pits us AGAINST each other... Divide and Conquer: I can't say it often enough.

And we are good at competing cooperatively—with rules, in ways that are productive. And freedom creates so many different hierarchies that everyone can find a place. And striving breeds excellence. Christopher Cool, maybe? lol But are we basing our ideas about human nature on what we’ve been told by… Oligarchs? Over centuries? lol See, I love to argue when it’s interesting, and not angry and punitive. I find myself quite literally Questioning EVERYTHING these days, and wondering if it’s all just more LIES. Well, no matter, we don’t have to make big decisions about anything today, we can ponder.
But I do think that things are beginning to open up, as in Globalist Dams starting to CRACK… Perhaps the jig is up… Or starting to be!
I SO HOPE SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m ready to start the New Paradigm, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Ready.

“ Questioning EVERYTHING these days, and wondering if it’s all just more LIES.”
—As am I, and understandably so. But…
That is also exactly how they want us to be and feel. They’ve made it so that we don’t know what to trust, so now we’re questioning EVERYTHING.
Are atoms real? Are these actually my toes? Lots of people thinking we’re in the Matrix. And every moment we spending feeling THAT unsure is a moment that we’re lost and not focusing on defeating or escaping them. So I personally have stopped going down rabbit holes or trying to answer the fringe questions, and I am using my common sense for as much as I can. This is reality, not the Matrix. Space is real (though I am not sure whether men have landed on the moon yet). And these are my toes.
They want us to feel lost, and I am disinclined to give them what they want.
Oh, I agree. I’m not feeling lost, I’m feeling tricked, lied to, cheated, messed around... for years. Well, that’s all true, but I’m tired of it, because this started for me PRE-covid. I’m only irritated and fed up, not lost. In fact, I’m probably much more centered than most people, because I don’t decide “what’s what” until I feel pretty sure about it. I just saw a video about how jet fuel is FAR FAR less of a thing used in jets than we’ve been led to believe… at least, that’s what the video was about. It seems to be true, and there was a lot of science to prove it… I think it’s somewhere in my postings yesterday. I mean, SO MANY LIES we’ve been told. I am TIRED of the BULLSHIT. I want change and I want it yesterday. I’ve never been particularly patient. But maybe what keeps me upbeat is that almost everything I find out that is being shown to be NOT the case, is about how what IS the case is awesomely cool, and it makes me feel so IN LOVE with this creation, this amazing Earth, and the profoundly and literally AWESOME entity that created it, and us. ^_^
"and it makes me feel so IN LOVE with this creation, this amazing Earth, and the profoundly and literally AWESOME entity that created it, and us. ^_^"
—Yeah, that's where I am, or try to be.
There are so many lies that come from the mainstream. It's infuriating.
BUT…there are also falsehoods swimming about in our alternative world too. Some sound plausible, but you can use stats and science to make false things sound plausible. Some are planted by the CIA to keep us all chasing our tails. (The CIA has been doing that for many decades. KGB did too.) Plus, going down rabbit holes just keeps me angry.
It's not that the truth is unimportant. It's just that no matter how deep one goes, one never knows for sure whether one has found the truth or not.
So I am trying not to worry so much what is at the bottom of these holes. Bees buzz, my wife's hair smells amazing, laughter feels good, etc. I am just focusing on those truths. No rabbit holes.
That is wise. ^_^ At the same time, I enjoy learning about things I don’t already know. And it’s exciting to be finding out how amazing science and the physical Earth, with all its “magic” really are… It’s enlivening to me. And since we have indeed been lied to, so much, for so long, I am intrigued by the things that I am learning. Not all of it is negative, and in fact, there is much that makes my jaw drop with delight. I will never be able to stop my own curiosity, and I don’t want to stop it! lol
Of course lies are infuriating. Political fuckery is infuriating. Taking advantage of people, abusing people, running roughshod over people… It’s all infuriating. But we don’t have to put up with it, either. I’d far rather die fighting for the Good, than running from the Bad. To me, the challenge is to be at Peace within myself, regardless of what is happening outside myself… And that is quite the challenge sometimes! Anyway, over the past five years I’ve learned more wonderful, amazing things, particularly about the natural sciences, than I learned in ALL my schooling. And it’s been great fun. My hope is that before I leave this life, I’ll be able to learn the things I’m most drawn to, specifically, how to help heal people with natural healing, including foods. That’s my dream. I have no means of paying for school, so I will have to buckle in and learn on my own!
I think one of the fundamental (it's a feature not a bug) problems is that the mob is kept so busy trying to conform to an ever shifting party line that they are robbed of the time it would take to form a considered opinion of their own...
I think you’re correct in your analysis but the solution of “not caring what people think” I believe is unfortunately a pipe dream. As you said, our desire to climb hierarchies is likely caused by circuitry that’s billions of years old.
Perhaps a more effective approach is to rebuild the status hierarchies to reward virtuous behavior. It will only ever be a rare few who reject an opportunity to raise their status out of principle. If we want to see broad cultural change we must change the incentives.
I largely agree. Free markets have already done a lot of the work, by allowing for a theoretically unlimited number of potential hierarchies. Far more endeavors and types of behavior can be rewarded now.
And changing the incentives is also a good idea. My wife and I were talking about this recently with the subject of bullying. Schools could deal bullying a mortal wound by altering incentives.
I guess I would just quibble somewhat with the idea that we cannot get people to stop caring so much what others think. True, we cannot get everyone, but the whole impulse to get everyone to do anything is part of the problem. I, as an individual, am learning to stop giving a %#$@ what others think. Other individuals can do the same.
We don’t need to convince everyone; we just need to find our tribe!
Yeah this gets to the heart of the beast we are a social creatures and have survival impulses that trip wire when we are at odds with the dominant group.
I’d love to say I’m above it but the best I can do for now at least is to remind myself the price for conformity is orders of magnitude more than some ridicule . And reminding my self that I’m not magically absolved from having to pay that price
Thanks for the piece and if you are raking DJ request I requested war is a god by Jessie wells.
I don’t know his politics other than he really anti war which is good enough for me
Yes, be you, no matter what ridicule comes your way. People who shame others for being outside the lowest common denominator of the mob…well, they are the ones who should be ashamed.
This deeper cut from Purple Rain I hadn't thought about for years just came to mind when I read this post's title, "The Beautiful Ones." These lyrics excerpted that might as well apply. Every time, always:
You have a knack of pointing out things that bother the shit out of me. I must be anti-social. I was heavily bullied as a child, overweight, wore glasses, and would rather sit inside reading during recess than go outside and play a completive game like kickball or something. But I was very intelligent. I was not good at fighting, but I had a short fuse when I was being wronged. I could figure out how to really hurt guys picking on me, with handy object. In the fifth grade I destroyed a bully's nose, he came in every day and started punching me in the arm. I had bruises on top of bruises. After 3 days of it, I decided to use my history book next time. He had to go to the hospital, it was not only broken, it was smashed. I only hit him 3 times with the book after the he went down on the first hit. I got older and learned about firearms, and at 16, de3cided nobody will ever bully me physically again. But now, with all this politically correctness bullshit, a term I have heard most of my adult life from bosses telling me in reviews, I do a great job, but need to learn to be more politically correct. Another one was, "you need polishing, like a diamond in the rough". But you can't win when the government is the ones pushing or enforcing it. Those poor people in Europe have lost their right to defend their selves long ago. You are not free if you can not be armed, and have the means to stop or kill and attacker. The people in Europe screwed themselves when they let their governments take away their weapons. I used to travel to London for work at least once a year, at one job I had. I always bring a decent sized folding knife in my checked luggage wherever I'm going, I used to stash a handgun in my checked luggage before they started xraying them on domestic trips, I would risk it not to stay in a strange hotel in a strange town unarmed. I found out from a coworker that my pocket knife with a 3 1/2" blade would land me in prison if I was caught carrying it. I would go to a steak place to eat, and the only knife they give you to cut your food is blunted. no point, barely enough edge to cut meat. I asked the waiter for a real knife, and he said something about Americans, and the said no, that's all we got. So of course, these governments want their people totally compliant and unable to do anything for themselves. They claim to be "Democratic" and "Free Societies", but in reality they are just a population of sheep, and they have let immigrant wolves into their meadows to prey on them, and refuse to protect them, which, in my opinion, makes them ready to be overthrown, so that will make the governments be even more heavy handed. People will always act like this, as Chris points out. It is human nature to be in a hierarchy. But you have to be intelligent enough to recognize when the majority are believing a lie and non-truths, or are trying to hide it, which they can't because everyone knows it's happening, but they have made decent people fear fighting back or even shouting out against it. I think we should all start sending emails to different British and Western European countries, with lots of verbage about, well slang, racial, words for middle eastern/muslim immigrants, and talking about their rape problem in very un-politically correct words and language, and then taunt them because they can't do shit to us here about it. It would be funny, fun, and maybe illustrate to these tyrants and globalist assholes how fucked up they are. Email the government agencies telling them what tyrants they are, in very offensive language, how fucked up they are for taking all the people's guns away, and tell them that all female government employees also deserve to be raped by muslims, and the males too, for letting this happen. Remember, to radical muslims, rape of an infidel or Jewish woman is OK, allowed and even encouraged by them. I want to see just what they would try to do to me for that, telling the British government what we think of them and their promotion of the rape of non-muslim woman by muslim men. And those government, by not preventing it, are promoting it. By hiding it, they are promoting it, and telling their populations it is fine to hurt, rape, rob, pillage, as long as you're not white. I thank the Lord everyday that He has put me in a place like Texas, where we remain free for now, and pray that these politically correct globalists will all be destroyed, and lose their power over them.
“ And those government, by not preventing it, are promoting it. By hiding it, they are promoting it, and telling their populations it is fine to hurt, rape, rob, pillage, as long as you're not white.”
—This is exactly right. By this blatantly allowing rape, they are, for intents and purposes, committing rape.
And I love what you did to the bully. He deserved every bit of that.
Well thank you. I learned early on, there is only one way to deal with a bully. when you think about it, you fight back, and get hurt, but the bulling stops. If you take it day after day, you hurt a lot more and longer than the fight that ended the bullying. In the instance I mentioned, the principal of the school knew the kid was a bully, and I got away with it. And for the rest of elementary school, nobody touched me again. Then Junior High came along, with new bullies. It took a combination gym locker padlock in a sock to make that asshole who picked on me in PE in the 7th grade. The PE coach even tried to get him and me to fight with gloves on, but he was twice my size, but that was they thing they did back then when two boys were fighting in a gym. I refused. I started putting my lock in a sock, and keeping it close throughout PE class. The next time he hit me in the back of the head (that was what he did, would come at me from behind), he had to have reconstructive surgery on his left cheek. It was the last week of the school year, I went to jail, was released to my parents, and after the police talked to the coach, it was decided that no charges would be filed, and I got to finish the 7th grade. Nobody screwed with me in Junior High after that. By high school I was smoking cigarettes and weed, carrying a large folding knife all the time, and ran with the people who didn't take crap, were also anti-social like me, and all the "straight" kids were afraid of us. But nobody bullied me or any of my friends. When I became 18, I bought my first shotgun, legal to carry in your car at the time in TX, and I decided I will never be bullied ever again, by those physically more powerful than me. Now, I'm 63, we have Constitutional Carry for handguns in TX, I managed to get through life with no felony convictions, so far, so I carry a gun on my person all the time now. I'm an obvious target again now, unable to stand up straight, walking hunched over with a cane or walker, when I am out in places where lots of people are. Bullies, and criminals, are predators - they don't have morals, they prey on easy, weak, sick people, because it's easier. There is only one way to stop them - present a level of force they are afraid of, and, most important, use it. If you threaten and don't pull the trigger, they will sense that, and go for your gun. They have to know that you will use your weapon. So far I have been lucky enough not to have to pull it out or use it and pray that I don't.
My wife and I were talking about bullying while running errands today. It is so ubiquitous in the human experience that there has to be some biological component. Kids are trying to establish dominance just like any mammal or animal species. Except they're kids, so the simplistic path of least resistance—strength dominance—is the one that wins out.
If schools took the approach of training kids in martial arts and giving kids AWARDS for beating the #$@% out of bullies, bullying might end. No punishment ever for kids defending themselves or defending the weak. Make it so that bullies live in fear of everyone around them. And then reward other status hierarchies. Maybe things would start to change.
But no, we have Prussian-model public schools designed to churn out obedient facotry workers and soldiers for the Reich.
"If schools took the approach of training kids in martial arts and giving kids AWARDS for beating the #$@% out of bullies, bullying might end. No punishment ever for kids defending themselves or defending the weak. Make it so that bullies live in fear of everyone around them. And then reward other status hierarchies. Maybe things would start to change."
And THIS is the reason schools do not teach martial arts, anger management or anything else beneficial for the entirety of the students' lives. Too many teachers teach due to the fact that they are bullies. School administrations are even worse bullies to the staff. Teaching and nursing are the 'top careers for being bullied".
I took a few semesters of Aikido in college with a Japanese sensei-we were equal sized so I was his demonstration student most of the time. He told me 'Americans are notorious for doing, what in Japan are instinctive moves, totally backwards". Interesting observation. We did a lot of sensory works in Aikido-like putting on blindfolds using our wooden swords to SENSE where the predator was located. I loved those classes. He also taught a one second test on how to see how off balance people were. Just give them a tiny push. Tried it out on my husband that night-he flipped backwards over the couch. What? lol Dance classes teach movement, grace and balance. NOT IN AMERICA will these classes be common.
I don't understand it myself. I didn't as a kid. I just wanted to live and let live, leave me alone. We don't have to be friends, but we don't need to be hostile. Back in grade school though. I saw it as a matter of survival. And being an excellent reader since kindergarten, I had a lot of knowledge by then and ideas most kids didn't have, like pick up a heavy object and use it to equalize the situation. My friends were also picked on, and when we got together, we all started thinking that way, and the bullies thought we were crazy, leave them alone. After a few "planned ambushes" we set up after or before school, after watching their route to school, stashing clubs or chains somewhere the day before, etc. This was the 70's we loved reruns of the Wild Wild West, I liked action and pirate type books (no internet, VCR, DVD, cable TV, cell phone, video games, social media, only 13 TV channels, or the other entertainment kids have now). But, I guess even with all those distractions, bullying is still a problem. And it happens with adults too, on a different level. If it's human nature, I'm not sure how it is or was advantageous to us once we became civilized. To me, it usually seemed the bully was angry at me for something. I do know that when they would make us read out loud in class, every one of the guys who ever bullied me in grade school, struggled to complete a sentence. Fifth grade, can barely read. Then it would be my turn, and I would spit it out perfectly and quickly. That went on into High School. I thought the bullies hated me for making them look stupid in class. They were stupid, they couldn't read. Even now, I would rather read instructions or other info than watch a video. If possible try to get a bully to read something to you out loud - I will bet, he can't read worth a shit. Even as an adult, I know people who can barely read. Maybe bullying is out of frustration from being stupid?
Yes, smart kids are rarely bullies. Sometimes, but usually it's the dumb ones. And sure, it's an insecurity thing, and also a hierarchy thing. Class time is about knowledge and intelligence, and they are outclassed there. So they opt for a strength hierarchy. "I cannot outthink you, but I can hit you." Understanding this might help schools combat the problem. If they cared to, which they clearly do not.
I love the fact that you staged ambushes. Awesome!
I'm not sure supporting Ukraine's defending itself is virtue signalling but perhaps that's a view that connotes something different in America. There are pretty strong signs building of a preference cascade, when a whole bunch of people realise that they don't need to go on pretending they don't know what a woman is because they realise no one else really believes all this gender woo anyway. Maybe some other shibboleths will come crashing down too
“ I'm not sure supporting Ukraine's defending itself is virtue signalling”
—No, but the trend of those circle avatars and flags on Facebook surely was. Which is why they were subsequently lampooned with the “I support the current thing” generic version.
Also (here in the States, at least), there was a 99 percent chance that people flamboyantly displaying the Ukrainian flag were also wearing masks alone in their car; displaying those “In this house, we believe…” yard signs; calling everyone Nazis; trying to convince their daughters to chop off their breasts; etc. In other words, it was a highly predictable tell of leftist wokery. The degree to which everyone (especially, though not exclusively) on the left downloads entire ideological packages is truly remarkable.
“There are pretty strong signs building of a preference cascade, when a whole bunch of people realise that they don't need to go on pretending they don't know what a woman is because they realise no one else really believes all this gender woo anyway.”
—Well that is good. But the interesting fact to me is not the preference cascade now, but the fact that it was ever necessary in the first place. Indeed, the fact that so many people who went along with it in the first place is another manifestation of toxic collectivism and the dark side of human social nature. It fills me with a revulsion for which I can barely find words.
“ Maybe some other shibboleths will come crashing down too”
Ahahahaha! 👏 Oh Cristobol, doubt yea that, right now, there births a perhaps yet unnamed English Republican Army? An ERA is inevitable, s’why the Brit cops are currently receiving IDF Crowd Control Training, a lovely crossborder co-operative effort between two staunch allies.

That’s why I use the sarcastic trademark symbol. It’s just their self-serving, prepackaged version. It’s not the real thing.
Very: Deep, true and pertinent Christopher!

I don’t know his politics other than he really anti war which is good enough for me
"DJ request I requested war is a god by Jessie wells."
Added to the list!
Yes, be you, no matter what ridicule comes your way. People who shame others for being outside the lowest common denominator of the mob…well, they are the ones who should be ashamed.
Marilyn Manson...and Prince!
This deeper cut from Purple Rain I hadn't thought about for years just came to mind when I read this post's title, "The Beautiful Ones." These lyrics excerpted that might as well apply. Every time, always:
"You were so hard to find
The beautiful ones, they hurt you every time
...
Paint a perfect picture
Bring to life
The vision in one's mind
The beautiful ones
Always smash the picture
Always, every time"
Always smash the picture. Every time.
Maybe so. Certainly in the modern era, the “beautiful ones” are a major part of the problem.

Great post. Thank you for your works.
Great comment. Great sensei!!
“ Maybe some other shibboleths will come crashing down too”
—That’d be nice.
I donut have to try, but I YAM quite furry.
I ate a yam yesterday. It was delicious. Perhaps I will eat a donut today.
Or maybe we will drive to Buffalo and get Paula’s—the best donuts ever!
Dogs like donuts, don’t they?
Owooo, jess.
Rape = Death Penalty. Public executions with Riot Squad forced attendance of Brown men. 🤷 Boom 👏
Something has to be done to defend women.
Something that I would do, sans doubt nor hesitation. In the dark. Back of the head.
I was surprised that British men haven’t taken on that task. I guess that’s the effect of the fear created by neo-totalitarianism.
So they can defend rapists from those who would protect women.
And the British cops call themselves men…
Lickspittles and Groomers and Enablers.
