Before I get rolling, let me just say that I resent having to write about the trans issue, or any issue of identity politics. The left, unfortunately, makes avoiding such issues impossible.
I had no idea, for example, that I am “cisgender.” Apparently, biological sex—something that exists for 99.9 percent of animals going back two billion years—needs a label, as if it’s some sort of choice or abnormality.
I am white, which means that I am uniquely and permanently culpable for all the sins of the past, and all the sins of the world. My little baby boy was equally culpable from his first breath, solely because of his identity. He will have to sit through many lectures about his permanent guilt: in school, corporate trainings, and required college courses—risking his future, and even his physical safety, if he raises a voice to object.
I am male, which means I am simultaneously a predator and a patriarchal oppressor. Any objections on my part are, in Kafkaesque fashion, simply further evidence of my guilt.
Identity issues aren’t my thing. I am a philosopher—my focus is on the natural rights of the individual human person. But the left has backed all of us into a corner, forcing us to think in these terms. I deeply resent them for putting me in this position. To borrow from Our Lady of Perpetual Indignation, St. Greta…
“How dare you!”
Now, to my main point…
When the trans issue first came to prominence in public discourse, it seemed to me that there were some legitimate issues that might need to be addressed. A certain percentage of the human population does have actual, lifelong gender dysphoria—the kind that does not resolve itself in early adulthood, and thus ends up producing a permanent inclination to dress and identify as the opposite sex, and perhaps even to get sex reassignment surgery. It’s a tiny percent (.001–.003) of the population; nonetheless, their reality does raise certain legitimate questions. How to handle the bathroom issue? Do they suffer any workplace or housing discrimination? Are there specific actions that ought to be taken to alleviate any such problems?
The fact that I happen to know (and truly enjoy my friendship with) just such a genuine trans person may have helped me with a little extra insight, perhaps, but the fact is, I would have asked myself those same questions either way. As a rights-oriented philosopher, I am interested in having reasonable discussions about how such questions might properly be addressed.
Unfortunately, the “reasonable” phase of the trans issue lasted for about five minutes. It’s been Orwellian lunacy ever since. As a result, we—and I really think I can speak for more than just myself here—have had just about every last drop of reasonableness drained from us.
The trans-rights terrorists—for that is truly what many have become (people are now calling them the #TRAliban on Twitter)—act as if we are oppressing them…when in fact, they clearly started this fight. It’s not a fight I ever wanted anything to do with, but they have forced us all into it.
It’s not everyone on the left. It’s not every trans person. But it’s enough to have taken control and poisoned the water of public discourse across the developed world. They have made it clear where they stand—that they will accept nothing less than unconditional surrender. And so it behooves us to take a little look at the journey from reasonable questions to where we are now…
We no longer wish to be addressed by the pronouns that match our obvious visible biological sex. You must now address us by the pronouns we tell you to use. Even if we don’t tell you—you should just know.
The existing pronouns are now insufficient. We are going to invent dozens more, and you are required to use whatever weird pronouns, or combination of pronouns, we ask you to use. Failure to do so is an act of oppression.
We’re done asking. Now we’re going to bully employers to the point where they feel compelled to fire people who don’t use our pronouns. Do it or starve, bigot.
Taking away your livelihood is no longer enough. We’re going to make it legally required. Use our pronouns or go to jail.
You know what—we’re done asking for toleration. You need to celebrate us. Openly.
Yeah, so guess what. Now, it’s not just enough to celebrate us. You have to be willing to have sex with us. Being trans is an identity—so, if you’re a straight man, not wanting to have sex with a man who identifies as a woman is not allowed. Not being attracted to blonds is a preference; not wanting to have sex with a man in a dress, who still has a penis, is bigotry. No—it’s oppression. Your identity, your very existence as a biologically normal heterosexual, is an act of oppression against us.
You also have to bake whatever cake we tell you to. There are 100 bakers we could go to, but we’re going to seek out the one baker who does not want to participate, just so we can create one more metric of grievance. Oh, and ruining the baker’s business and threatening his family’s lives—well, that part is just plain fun! Are you a beautician who doesn’t want to wax a trans woman’s testicles? Well, nice business you had there…
Yeah, so you know how you, your sisters, your mothers, and your daughters have worked their whole lives to become top athletes in the sports they love? That’s all over now. Stronger, faster “trans women” are coming for every female record. They’re coming into your locker rooms—they’re gonna hang their junk right in your face and there’s nothing you can do about it, you TERF bigot. Go cry to J.K. Rowling. Say something and get suspended or thrown off the team. Don’t like it that a biological male MMA fighter crushed a woman’s skull and then got named the “bravest athlete in history”? Too bad. He’ll come crush your skull next.
Okay, women, so you’ve worked hard for separate spaces and a separate identity. Whatevs. That’s all over now. Now you’re chest feeders and people with uteruses. We’re going to wear the most cartoonish stereotypes of womanhood like a mask, and there isn’t a thing you can do about it. Women don’t get to decide what womanhood is. Men don’t get to decide what womanhood is. Men who identify as women get to decide what womanhood is. Period. Because that’s all you are—people who get periods. We’re done with you women (until the next time we need to use you as a political prop). Besides, men can get periods too.
We’re going to put men in women’s prisons. We’re going to count rapes by trans women with penises as rapes by women. Don’t like the fact that trans women are hundreds of times more likely to be sex offenders than women? Too bad. You can literally s_ck it, cis-het breeder.
Does all of this seem a little unreal? Yeah, well guess what—you are not entitled to your own perception of reality. Reality is what we say it is, and you must affirm what we tell you to…out loud. Say it: “Trans women are real women.” SAY. IT. Not in your words. Use the words we tell you. Do it or get cancelled, censored, fired, and physically threatened. If we tell you that you see five lights, then you see five lights.
Yeah, so those are some mighty nice kids you have there. Guess what—you parents don’t get to raise them any more. We do. We are going to socially transition them without you knowing. We’re going to tell them that you are the enemy. We’re going to give them hormone drugs and convince them to keep it a secret until it’s too late. We are going to take every bit of childhood angst, teenage loneliness, or temporary sexual confusion and use it as an excuse to convince them that they need to mutilate themselves. We are going to indoctrinate them into our cult and make them psychologically dependent on us for life. We’re not having kids of our own, so we’re taking yours.
We are also going to do drag shows for your children. Young children. We are going to read sexualized materials to preschoolers. We are going grind and twerk for toddlers. We are going to get naked, take your children by the hand, and parade them around the room. Go ahead—complain about it. That just gives us one more grievance group: the drag queens you are oppressing by not letting them do sex shows for children. When you say that kids cannot consent to drag shows, we’ll just respond that not letting them go to drag shows is a violation of our civil rights. We’ve got more friends in the media than you do. Who ya gonna complain to, Tradwife?
When you pass laws saying we’re not allowed to do sex performances for children, we are going to act like you’re trying to outlaw private consensual adult activities. If you pass a law prohibiting gender-cult indoctrination materials in school libraries, we’re going to say that you’re Nazi book-burners and claim that you’re trying to make it illegal to say the word “gay.”
It’ll still be against the law to take your 14-year-old to a heterosexual strip show. They cannot consent to that, but they can consent to whatever we say they can. And if you bigot parents forbid them, you are violating their rights. We say what your children can do, not you.
You must use our pronouns even when we’re not in the room. Think what we tell you to think. You must be an ally and put your pronouns on all your social media accounts. Silence is violence. Oh, and don’t even thinking about misgendering your children. They are the gender we say they are. Misgender them and go to jail.
And finally—we’re going to make millions of dollars off of all of this. Don’t like it? Too bad. Government will make you pay either way.
I have never been especially invested in social issues.
I am now.
There are, of course, people speaking out against this obvious descent into lunacy. Trans people. Feminists. Gays. Drag queens. Not everyone has lost their minds. But the craziest of the radical left are running the show right now. They are, by and large, in control of what the left does, and entertainment, business, education, media, and most other mainstream institutions are following their lead.
In spite of my skepticism about the motives of the left—skepticism developed over a lifetime of observation and study—I started out looking at the trans issue wondering what practical solutions there might be to any legitimate concerns. But they’ve long crossed the line of legitimate, reasonable, or even sane. The trans-radical left has defecated on every line and then walked miles further down the road.
People who once considered themselves on the left are leaving in droves. The exhausted middle are looking on in horror. But the trans-radical left just keep going, getting shriller by the day: Demanding everyone affirm as reality things we all know aren’t real. Coming after women’s sports. Coming after women. Coming for your children.
I didn’t care what adults did in private. I was prepared to look at any question that might require a political solution. I was reasonable. They decided to plant their flag on Crazy Hill and then demanded that we all bend the knee. I have just one word in response:
No.
Clear, concise and a call to arms. As more and more folks are speak out, and the pressure to capitulate is going to increase, as is the danger -- just like when a woman finally tells her violent husband she is leaving. Like that woman, we're going to need to be prepared on all fronts: in education, politics, law, science, arts & entertainment, in non-profit and corporate America. This may call for radical action, but unless we're willing to surrender the soil, we must persevere.
It’s an issue that has been hijacked and generated for destructive purposes by people with evil agendas. All our reasonableness and tolerance and kindness used against us.

There is definitely an agenda to destroy our culture as spelt out in Claus Schwab’s Agenda 30. They are attacking from many angles.
