The seventies, if you can believe it were 50 years ago and with the CIA they certainly have honed their skills over the years. As we have witnessed our governments ability to take control of pharmaceuticals especially in the COVID crisis. No ivermectin for you! The way the government demonized it!
Think about the use of oxycodone. The government allowed this synthetic heroine to be spread coast to coast throughout the public creating addicts who inevitably would have their prescription end. This resulted in thousands of addicted people going to the street to get their fix and heroine is what replaced the oxycodone. My brother got wrapped up in this after he fell off a wall at the Gardner prison, as a prison guard, they put him on oxycodone. After a long horrible bout with heroine and methadone he died at 48. The actual cause of death was an overdose of methadone
I remember as a kid pot, hash, mescaline, acid etc. pouring into my neighborhood. I was talking about this the other day to a friend. I honestly don’t think this was an uncontrolled coincidence. This stuff was pushed through the suburbs of Boston, there are no coincidences. The government knew exactly what was happening if they weren’t a part of it they definitely allowed it. J.Goodrich
I lived in SW Montana the year after 911 for a few years, after visiting there for a few years, and though I found a few rugged Real Men, meth had a grip and was decimating the area and besides the "German Mafia" a few families which controlled the lucrative businesses in the valley it was mostly people living on the margins, some good hardworking people, an extreme sect of the Mormons who had many wife's and kids and often had 10 or so of their kids working hard for them in cash work - and these kids where friendly, polite and clean and transplanted Californians. Vermont was much better but the last year I was there I noticed the drug trade and far left taking over from the good, rugged Yankees and Boston, NYC or NJ 2nd homers/retirees.
I believe the Pharma-Monsters are deliberately getting people addicted. If you have time please read: Empire of Pain: The Secret History of the Sackler Dynasty (Purdue Pharmaceutical).
My very rich uncle Harry was head Patent Lawyer and a VP of Merck, from an old Wasp Big Freemason Family, by marriage to my fathers sister who was a nurse, who lived in a huge 1900 style Mansion on Todt Hill (Death Hill in Dutch - the original European settlers) in Staten Island NY (The Best view and neighborhood of mansions in NYC) right next to Paul Castellano the Don of the Gambino Family. I thought Castellano was bad - Uncle Harry was way worse! Anyway this old Pr*** got sick in his 80's and was on the top floor of the best hospital in NYC. It was like a Suite at the Waldorf with his own personal to wait on him. I took my aunt to see him there. One of his many doctors came in and begged him to take a certain medicine that he would not take. He yelled at the doctor and said: "I patented that medicine and know the awful side-effects and I would never, ever take it. Get out!" That told me what I needed to know about the Pharmaceutical world.
I absolutely KNOW THAT the Pharmaceutical industry is trying to get people addicted to their drugs and ‘maintain’ symptoms and diseases rather than cure. Of course they always tell you (and especially senior citizens) that their is no cure…
Just about everyone in my age group has been convinced they need to take STATINS, blood pressure meds, Eliquis (for AFIB which might even be normal…) and a host of other meds to counter the side effects of those meds.
Doug and I take zero drugs!
My cholesterol has always hovered under and over 300 since they started checking in my 20’s.
😆Im 72 and still kicking and strong with zero heart issues.
The normal range for cholesterol used to be 180 - 320 until pharma created expensive statins. Guess what else happened around that time they started giving them out like candy…increases in Alzheimer’s!
Why? Because as we age, the brain needs more cholesterol 🤔🧐😉
Don't forget the role of the corrupt FDA which is a perfect example of how quickly money corrupts gov programs into reverse mode, protecting those they were supposedly going to protect us from, and attacking whistle blowers and real healers. The commercial courts do their part as yard dogs for them too. And the enforcers attack the symptoms instead of the causes just like the corrupt medical system. What a world we live in.
This was a post I had made a few months ago. It’s an example of the pain big Pharma, our government and mainly the CDC cause families.
It’s so hard to accept how quickly time passes. I was grabbing a shirt for work the other morning and noticed underneath was a shirt that was my older brother John’s, my sister had given me a few of his things years ago. Its been a little over 17 years since my brother passed away. My brother John was a true patriot. Out of high school he signed up to become an Army Ranger. He dedicated himself to learning ninjitsu and had earned a black belt. He worked for 20 years as a prison guard, was a canine officer there and a sharpshooter at the prison.
Growing up, if any of us other three siblings ever had a problem with anyone, you could be sure to count on brother John to straighten it out, he protected those close to him. He was undyingly courageous when it came to sticking up for his family or what was right. John would give the shirt off his back to help a stranger as well.
His doctors failed him. The government approved these drugs. My brother suffered for years with addiction to what they prescribed. Inevitably they killed him.
Selfishly, one of the things I miss the most about my oldest brother, he was always there, dependable, loyal, and strong. At the drop of a hat if you needed John, it didn’t matter where you were, he would always show up and offer a helping hand.
I picked up his shirt and put it on thinking if I could only have 1/2 of his courage, strength, loyalty or patriotism I would be twice the person I am today. I think of my brother all the time and when I see things like his shirt it’s a reminder of how precious the person was that once wore it.
There are so many great examples of courageous patriotic people we should draw strength from and understand how precious they are. We should learn from and enjoy these people in our lives while they’re around, as big and as strong as they are you don’t want to end up with a shirt or a hat of theirs and then realize how precious they were. J.Goodrich
Absolutely right. Even in our small rural place here, I have been warned for a few places as being drug sales points. Now and then I see someone zombie like walking in one of the streets. When asking friends if they are taking any meds, most say no, and when I say I am taking some Valeriana to sleep (a natural product), one says she takes 4 Benadryl each night to sleep. Four! In addition to meds for diabetes (that has a slew of side effects), and several other over the counter things, that obviously she does not count as drugs. When asked what we use to keep our skin healthy, only I responded I use coconut oil. I know one uses 2 different chemical products, but she did not say so. She said, Nothing! Several people I know, who are on Medicare, use up their 3-monthly allowance for over the counter stuff to the last cent. I don't even know how to load it LOL.
Most Americans are drug addicts ! This free over-the-counter from Medicare is one thing I would immediately stop. It only can be used in Big Stores (Walmart and Kroger) here in town, the small stores and pharmacies cannot let you use it. I know people who have 3 large cabinets full to the brim with meds !
Read the side effects of any drug, any classification; they count on a percentage of people to complain about side effects, the second takes care of the first, but ,yep, you guessed it, enter prescription # 3; psychoactive or not, physical addiction is still addiction; such is the revolving door of Big Pharma; ie Asthma. Here are your inhalers. Here are the tablets, here is the breathing treatment, oh yeah. Lots to steroids, darn. Here is some Xanax and don’t forget to rinse your mouth or you will get thrush.
Xanax for the anxiety from the corticosteroid in the asthma meds and thrush from the same, not Xanax, If there are steroids in the inhaler prescribed the patient needs to rinse their mouth after each use, then antibiotics can upset the balance good bacteria and allow fungi grow. It can happen throughout the body, not just the mouth where the signs are usually a white coated tongue. Xanax is not the cause, it is a prescribed medication to deal with the side effects of all the drugs our doctors are willing to prescribe us. There are others that can be prescribed, ones that do not have side effects as severe but insurance companies typically will not cover such medications. Pharma companies have been getting patents on certain popular medications that prevent a generic version being available and again Insurance Companies will deny…… Usually life saving medications…. Asthma is a serious condition, but the typical protocol prescribed is not easily tolerated. In fact, there is tablet that has been shown to increase suicidal ideation and depression in children. Just what you want when your child already has a condition that could be life threatening.
Xanax is indeed more difficult to withdraw from than alcohol or heroin, unsupervised withdrawal can result in death. It needs to be weaned slowly and not replaced with other drugs or cross addiction will most likely occur.
So, I can change occurring in educational sector first, and the equality of a voucher system. It would correct so much that is nothing but a big waste of money, an ineffective system and only those that really want to teach, that should teach would be willing to accept that. I understand the economics of the capitalistic free enterprise system an have been against monopolies ever since I could comprehend what they were. Our MIC is a perfect example. I forget the number but I think there were 46 companies that would bid on weaponry etc and it is now down to 4; there is no freedom in that and we do have to pay. I love the explanation on how capitalism is better than Marxism and that the Marxist theory is hugely flawed.
Less Government, less centralized government will allow more personal freedoms, but ..in what we are facing today, it is the Federal Government that is needed to correct this. If it is lost to Democrats or if the CCP and Globalists continue to slip through the cracks of our government like mercury, we will forever be poisoned and toxic.
There is so much to consider and solve; I found the reference to the monopoly of Radio Communication interesting. The FCC act of 1996 passed by Bill Clinton was meant to prevent this yet George Soros who acquired 3 more radio stations and affiliates, fast tracked by the FCC while Biden was still President violated this. He now owns 2/3 of all radio and affiliates, ie. Cable, papers, network. He has probably already diversified them out of his ownership however the original purchase is on the books in November of 2024
I know I'm preaching to the choir here but this is precisely or at least on e of the reason why the idea of a state leads to problems. Good people end up being controlled by regulators who are the finacial mercy of those wiling to pay them. And there not much incentive to pat them if you just want to conduct honest business. The more regulation the less real choice consumers have. I'm sure there were scam snake oil hucksters back in the day, but at least those practicing medicine weren't forced to be or lose the right to practice.
So many drugs are designed to get you hooked...for life. I have been told with several prescriptions that I will be on them for life. That really angered me and I refused to take any of them. There is NO drug or vaccine on the planet that your body needs to live healthier by taking.
They want to get you hooked for life as it becomes so automatic you do not think twice about it. That is the ultimate marketing plan for EVERYTHING marketable. They always want you to become a lifetime customer. Try getting off some of these (legal) drugs and the withdrawal symptoms can be horrible or even deadly.
I used to live in a very small adorable town. I did not move. Everything changed around me. everyone around me is now an addict of something. they are trashy, I cannot even have a conversation with most of them. they need drama, if they do not have their drugs. It sucks. Now, i am the mean lady who demands they get that shopping cart off my walkway. pick up their cigarette butts and dog shit. (they don't) they die a lot, very young. their children have no good examples to follow.
Hmmm, one might simply say the magic words, addict 10,000,000 people to opiates then make 20 billion, after the 8 billion dollar "penalty fine". Oh PURDUE, YOU DONE IT AGAIN!!! Heehee heehee!!!
Whereas, if there were no government to protect them, they would be subject to the full force of a private law system. No BS class action—every plaintiff sues for 10 million!
Evil, whether cloaked in a lab coat or a trench coat, preys of a lack a spirituality. I see no way out of our current pharma morass without a spiritual revival. "There is one who has all power, may you seek him now."
But you can get out and I can get out, right? So if we don't think of the problem in terms of getting everyone out at once, the character of the problem changes, no?
(I am heading out on a long trip, so I might not be able to answer anytime soon :-)
Yes, if it were just an individual problem, we could all apply our own circumstances to participate, or not. Of course, that application requires sound knowledge of the problem. But with government/pharma collusion in misinformation, the problem becomes a moral imperative, because good people must stop evil, even if it is not directed towards them.
It's a thorny issue. My thinking has taken a turn. I am trying to see ways to unhook from the notion that solutions are impossible unless we can somehow apply them to everyone. It's a change of mindset...but it is difficult!
Oy. This is a problem that occurs intermittently throughout Substack. People have complained and it has gotten them nowhere. Let's try to troubleshoot it ourselves before you bother with Support. What a terrible story about your brother. I am so sorry.
And yeah, I think you are right about the government.
And perhaps other enemy/“strategic peer competitor” governments are getting in on the game too…
So True Christopher - Thank you!

There's a lot of money in addiction. There's also a lot in addiction therapy. Get it in both ends.

Lobelia drops was once the standard of care for asthma. weird how it is not addictive. and people hardly ever died from it back then.
Did lobelia work?
yes, in a similar way to albuterol, i am told. it was used for hundreds of years before.
❤️ Wow!
yes. it works as well as albuterol i am told.
