Thanks! I needed this today. Brilliantly done.

I don’t know if I’m an anarchist but I do know American politicians are among the most evil contemptuous people that ever existed.

And stick around for a few months—you'll be on your way to Anarchist Island in no time!🤣

That's kind of how it was for me. By the time I admitted it to myself, I realized that I had been there for a while.

Your lead-in made me think about the socio/political nature of an alien culture I've been writing about for 10 years. Then I thought, well, the Anye must publish memes. Now I'm thinking, since I have four AI engines who understand my writing, I could ask them to compose memes based on political attitudes of the factions in my stories.

More on this later.

Very interesting. Fiction is powerful. (Atlas Shrugged is cited as the second-most influential book after the Bible.) Is this libertarian sci-fi you are writing, by any chance?

I thought it might be, but now I'm wondering if the ancient and noble brotherhood of Zirna Zapha doesn't lean toward anarchy. It is a distributed State having no borders, a gypsy Jewish mafia in some ways.

Interesting. Do your stories attempt to impart (in a positive fashion) the ideas of liberty? Like Freehold, Atlas Shrugged, etc.?

Authors write what they believe; so yes, moderated by the notion that I'm producing entertainment, not manifestos. A common thread in my stories insinuates that certain habits are more likely to produce successful lives than others. Show up. Understand your obligations. Mind your own business. Do what you said you would do. Give, but don't forget to take. Be kind, but be prepared to be cruel. Everything is not about you. Sometimes you have to make it about you. Virtue is not an abstract concept that can mean anything you want it to.

Interesting. So less on the macro-freedom stuff, and more on the micro/character/values?

I don't preach, at least I don't think I do. However, the backbone of my 70,000 year-old alien civilization is a sub-culture that rejects government, ruthlessly defends itself, and interferes with everybody's business when it feels it must. Make what you will of that.

GOP Votes for $2 Trillion in Annual Spending Cuts to reduce debt not a Big Spending Bill that increases debt by Trillions more

Seems like an anarchist would prefer a small bill with less government

Yes, I do prefer that. But not as much as I prefer being rid of the whole system of involuntary governance.

I spent the bulk of my adult life as a conservative and registered Republican. I am well-familiar with lesser-of-two evils arguments.
