Agreed, and two further notes here:

1. The government is that organization that has been the most successful at doing violence against people. That's how they're in power. It's what they do, every day. The idea that some group of liberty-minded people is going to form a militia and beat the government at the thing the government does best, violence, is unrealistic.

2. The government WANTS you to engage in violence. That's why they send undercover cops to peaceful protests and get them to foment violence by throwing molotovs. The government doesn't know how to deal with peaceful, honest people. Violent people? Oh yeah, it knows exactly what to do with those people. That's what all the riot gear and prisons are for. But peaceful people who are smart, honest, and integrous? The government's strategy for dealing with people like that is to either ignore them, or try to smear them so that they have some excuse to do violence against them. That's all they got - propaganda. And the government's propaganda machine has all-but exploded the past few years.

Agreed. The gov't loves for some of the peasants to get uppity from time to time so that they can flex their muscles and squash their aspirations while they remain in small, manageable, disorganized groups.

Exactly. We can't beat them under their logic. We need a higher level to fight them off. Without the use of violence or otherwise they can use that as pretext (exactly as you described)

History, when it is accurately reported and studied thoughtfully has a lot to teach us. I am sufe that is the reason the would be rulers make so much effort to distort and falsify it. We can see what has not worked in the past and what has been more successful. Now it is up to us to try something new using the best we have learned from the past.

Death of the physical body so far is the only freedom one can aspire to in this world at present. Non attachment is man kinds biggest hurdle to overcome without and within . Sorry to get all meta physical but I would join a Nazarene sect tomorrow if I could find a group of fellow humans that were sharp minded kind, friendly and sociable but also enlightened and respectful of natural law and could have access to zero point energy to live away from large central society and still be able to zip around the planet freely and without energy costs and constraints. To solve your problems and mine, the very first step is to demand not ask , demand , that Congress make releasing these suppressed technologies to the world so they can become irrelevant and also set themselves free from this stupid mentality of scarcity. How on earth are you going to have the likes of Raytheon systems and Saic and Boeing relinquishing power to their fellow fractals of consciousness til they can acknowledge that monopoly is a silly board game not a life plan and the above statement rings true between their Cartesian ears ? I can’t see that happening. I wish the distributed nation success. I believe it will take free energy and electro gravidic energy to power yours and my dream . First step . Demand free energy technologies to be made available and relinquish the mindset of us and them . Arimanic energy and Luciferian power should have been relinquished along with the belief of material reductionism and a senseless universe 100 years ago . I rant yet not know how to get this ball rolling without appearing like a nutcase .

I hear you, and you don’t sound like a nutcase.

But let us put it like this: with or without those energy systems, wouldn’t you want to make common cause with people who truly believe in natural law?

Expand full comment

Chris I do , what stops most people is the ability to extricate themselves from debt to even start to think big enough. And debt is tied to energy and money , this is why I keep banging on about free energy .I love your cause and ideas , just trying to steer people’s minds as to why they are trapped so damnably hard in a corrupt system. Step 1 .

A lot of wisdom here. I went my own way, not asking permission or trying to change the world and keeping a pretty low profile. Yet I know I am missing a lot of possibilities for a richer more abundant and prosperous life by going it alone. What a pleasure it is to be among friends who share these vital principles so largely unappreciated and unrecognized by the vast majority of the miseducated and unconscious legions of earth. So much more can be achieved by people of good will and awareness working together feely on common goals. What a future we have to look forward to when this dream is realized. Thanks Christopher.

Expand full comment

Yeah, and one of the things that I am going for with this concept is the notion that the degree of "togetherness" is up to each individual/house. Fly the flag, or don't. Hang out or communicate with others a little, a lot, or none at all. Freedom!

So true, there is no "one size fits all" for a free people. We either succeed or learn something from every sincere and innovative effort made.

My plan has been to list a few individual steps in Chapter 4, and then the rest in Chapter 5. I know it's annoying to be asked to wait, but I have to unfold this in sequence. I would, however, be happy to entertain any thoughts, and then factor them in as appropriate…

Some elements of this seem a lot like the Early Church, socially: not a politically powerful movement, but a social fabric -- and a pre-electronic one, too! -- nonetheless.

> No scapegoats. No fanaticism. No impositions of any sort of authority.

Three for three! Rene Girard, perhaps most famously, identified the Gospels as defeating the scapegoat mechanism that plagued civilizations (and still does, sadly).

> The distributed nation is not a tea party or some political group. It is far less than that, and far more. It is not like anything before. Nations have been built on conquest. On edicts from rulers. On the machinations of congresses and cabals. Now it is time for a nation built on choice.

The Early Church is also not formed for political ambition; rather, it opposes it. And because the incentives for identifying as Christian never included gaining status in the dominant social order, but likely losing status (and more, like life, liberty, and property), it was a pretty safe bet that everyone who joined was doing so voluntarily.

> We should be open about our sovereignty. But we should do so happily, in a way that educates and inspires others, rather than frightens them.

The New Testament is littered with calls to be joyful, steadfast, and happy, despite not having any earthly power to promise anyone. "Educates and inspires" is how early evangelization worked.

> Rather, we should be more decent, civil, loving, and kind than the population at large. More noble. We should never compromise our beliefs, but we should try to engender goodwill rather than inspiring fear. And then we should be patient. Grow in number, cohesion, and clout. Create new communities, currencies, and modes of being. Bide our time. Look for opportunities. Look to the future. We don’t win by overthrowing our oppressors. We win by outwitting and outlasting them.

That's the model, generally speaking, that led to the rapid growth of the Early Church, in spite of political persecution. The problem for the Church was when Constantine saw their popularity and co-opted them, offering to officially stop the persecutions. Too many in the Magisterium fell for the ruse (or deliberately wanted political power) and became apologists for the regime.

Send me your email address over DMs and I'll send you a pdf with plenty of Bible citations for the good neighborliness of the Early Church and how it eschews imposed, hierarchical social order.

This is very interesting; thank you.

The growth of Christianity did certainly occur to be in terms of growing and outlasting. It is the best example of how something can go from one person to over two billion people!

People who have no intentions of harming others. Either in smaller groups or as individuals...it's the person that counts and his desire to live free but not at the expense of others. Nobody really wants a bloody revolution, but sometimes government gives us no choice if we are to break free. I agree, it's no fun being a martyr.

Expand full comment

Right. Obviously they sometimes leave us little choice. But we need to do all we can to win our independence without resorting to the same old same-old. Violence follows it's own logic!

Right on!

Expand full comment

True. I do admire those who throw themselves courageously into the struggle against the injustices and cruelties of this present civilization, but also am saddened by how often it seems so little is gained by such sacrifices. I guess the world needs some martyrs, but I would rather not see such individuals who have so much to offer throw themselves onto the pyre with so little appreciation or gain. There has to be a better way and we must stay determined to find it for ourselves and those we care about.

Expand full comment

Well, I would say that "a well regulated Militia..." is "necessary to the security of a free State", and that "the militia is the whole people except for a few public officials". Therefore, we should realize that militias are a necessary aspect of the security of our freedom, but maybe not what many people have made them out to be.

Expand full comment

You are correct, of course, and I figured someone would mention the true nature of the militia as understood by the American Founders.

Needless to say, the right to defend oneself, one's community, and ALL of one's natural rights—and to possess, carry, and use said means as appropriate—is a right under natural law. We can and should exercise that right as needed.

But we should not take steps that limit our long-term prospects for success. Armed resistance isn't really bearing much desirable fruit. We should try a new path.

Expand full comment

Sounds good. Perhaps that it has never been tried is that it doesn't appear possible. We, at least intuit, realize that those who would govern will not give up peacefully. And, more of them will appear anyway. America's weakness is that, as at least some of our founders stated, it was designed only to work by and for good people, and there are none. And those who are mostly good are far too few to matter. Evil can't be stamped out. As more than one evil person has said, "you cannot kill me." Thus far, throughout history every tyrant has been succeeded by at least one just as bad or worse. The only way to get rid of a tyrant is to become one. Ad infinitum.

Expand full comment

Yes, evil is like that. And that is why I assert that we should stop trying to fight it the way we have always done in the past, and instead try something new!

She has published her own book. That which she explains in this video podcast. It's basically the answer to the matter of what you're doing - eliminate money. And that's my mission as well.

Expand full comment

In looking over that quickly, it seems She is still in a scarcity paradigm, where All must add Their energy... Not seeing We do not need (even today) more than 20% of Us doing needed work - 80%+ of the "jobs" merely move accounting tokens ("money") around and overall upwards to the psychopaths in control.

But I will spend more time with it and see if I misjudged.

Expand full comment

Yes, it is all about Energy. I believe that money was once good until the evil ones decided to circumvent the idea and used it to take control of everything. Kinda like the old sayings - just because you can doesn't mean that you should. Or in biblical terminology - Adam & Eve. But the Carat System seems to be a good way to start and recover from the damage caused over that time. And your concept would be a wonderful conclusion as well! 💜

Expand full comment

And I suggest that all We have to do is add free energy with a widespread awareness. 100% of the cost of EVERYTHING is energy. The resources sit here freely but it takes energy to put them into useful configuration.

Add free energy and the cost of energy will be removed down the line, things become cheaper and cheaper, and at some point automating all necessary work no One WANTS to do will be completely affordable, leaving Humans to do what We LOVE to do.

And loving as richly as We choose.
