The question "are you willing to commit that violence yourself?" is a great way to frame it. Never heard it put that way before. I imagine the majority of people would absolutely not be willing to commit that violence, yet they remain completely unaware that they are complicit in the violence that they condone by supporting the system unquestioningly.

The vast majority of people do not trust their own sensibilities and therefore, do not trust others.

For them, they require rules and authorities to carry out the control of everyone.

Say it loud, often and clearly.

YOU ARE YOUR OWN AUTHORITY.

We are addressing now to this idea of authority.

Those of us that know we are our own authority are taking the steps necessary to address this for ourselves. We empower others when we do so.

We don't make others' choices, but we do make our own.

Let us continue to take steps to reclaim that authority for ourselves.

I would stop no one from wanting to leave this tyrannical country. I’m sure many of you have seen the reports of massive voters registeristrations in Texas, Arizona and Pennsylvania. The Democrats are gearing up to steal another election right in front of our faces, and they don’t give a shit about breaking any contract with the citizen about free and fair election nonsense. The show must go on. In Maoist China they killed off the producers that the country had before their revolution. When they figured out their mistake, it was too late people were starving to death. So our killer tyrants want to use fascism to allow the big elite billionaire business owners the ability to keep running so the tyrants can use them, suck off them, and control them to hold down the public. This will sustain the government leeches to suck blood from all. This government left and right will not allow secession. If you stop producing for them they will eliminate you. We see this in history, if you don’t go along with them you will be stood up along a ditch with your back towards the rifle and shot in the back of your head.

The leech, the horrible ugly creature. They attach themselves to a passer by and then feed on the hosts blood. Their whole purpose in life is to take more and more so they can produce more and more of their own. The leech teaches us that sin takes all it can from human life and gives nothing in return. Left the SFO airport and they had a scanner that took a picture of me to 'match' it to my driver's license picture because apparently the TSA agent couldn't do it himself. This is beyond creepy. There was a sign that said the images were deleted once the match was made, but I don't believe it. It reminded me of my travels in Europe not too long ago. I remember being checked as I was leaving the country. What kind of system monitors those who leave? A totalitarian one.

Great article. People will consent to reprehensible things so long as there is an authority figure to take the blame (reminds me of the infamous Milgram experiment). The true test of morality is what someone will take personal responsibility for.

I will not step in that boat and force them to stay.

If they want to go at it on their own, good for them.

In fact, I might want to join them.

The big question is: If I build a little house on the far side of that island, will they leave me alone, or will they force me to join them?

Do not underestimate the cheerleaders. There is a Trotsky in every mob of cheerleaders. He will form them into committees and they WILL get in a boat with their rifles and go to your island. Why? Because they are cheerleaders with a (in their eyes) god-like leader.

If you are asking if the state is willing to commit violence against a person leaving, then I say yes it will because all we are to them is a taxpaying slave and a vote (well maybe not so much anymore). If they are short of taxes, they will squeeze the public for more or just invent more electronic pesos from Heaven (the Fed).

Under the current regime, they want us dead in the name of population control. We have few masters that care if we live or die. Many factions support the desires and demands of the state and that includes all of its institutions and congress and most of industry. None in favor of the citizen.

If you are talking about committing violence in an attempt to leave the wretched state, then yes it may well come to that. Will it be the people finally grabbing a pitchfork and storming the capitols? Or, will it be the supremely arrogant masters overplaying their agenda and it comes crashing down and leaves the country in ruins? I think the latter is more likely. In any event, the great reset will fail.

Perhaps that is when we will have a chance to re-order the country, or at least a part of it. Then again we have democrats, republicans, libertarians, liberals, Marxists, RINOs, retardicans, conservatives and a host of other factions of political believers and this detracts from the whole. I hate to categorize myself into any group (maybe other than being a peaceful anarchist) finding it difficult to trust anything. It may take another 10-15 years before the end makes an appearance.

We don't need a NWO, but a new fork of off the OWO (old world order). How that evolves will be a chaotic process as many won't know what to do without government there to rule them. I have no desire to stop anyone from leaving the clutches of the state. At my age (74), there are fewer options but I support anyone who wants to become an un-slave.

Yo man. I don’t see a buy me a coffee button. I need to do some research on those buttons, I want to make one that says “a dollar a day, keeps the devil at bay/play” one or the other 😉 Anyone know how and want to teach a dumb hillbilly like me?

Also, it may just be me, but no one tried that hard to stop us from leaving 😂

When you started with at least the criminal doesn’t pretend.. I thought of this- What’s the difference between the mafia and the government? The mafia doesn’t have a 10,000 hour indoctrination program designed to convince you they’re not the mafia.

Again, a great post that makes me think and helps create a new version of potential realities I can see. Thank you Christopher.

Nice essay. -Apologies for the cryptic nature at the end, I am sure you understand-. We have been conditioned to delegate everything, including the considerations of what we do politically including second order effects. This removes us from blame or accountability, at least in the mind of mass society. I have told people for years that at the end of every law if taken to its extent is enforced by a gun. So unless you are willing to hold the gun, you should not support the law. Naturally, this has usually been met with glazed over eyes. I am a peaceful man, but I will deploy violence personally for things that would fall under natural law. (murder, self defense, et cetera) As far as leaving... at this point I view government as any other force of nature or natural disaster such as a hurricane or tornado. It is best to prepare as you can and avoid them if possible. I have found no exit path that does not include copious amounts of violence. However, as of now I do not even have to consider "leaving" for violent options to manifest because some things are growing in a direction of certain red lines on personal levels. One can only back an animal up into a corner so far before it must make a choice. So what do we do when our hurricane shelter fails? I think it is long past time for people to have hard conversations within themselves and their communities. The problem, unlike the sons of liberty all of our taverns are either gone or compromised. This is why I consider the long fight with education to be my personal priority.

I read that piece you reference. I replied that You Do Not Wish To Go. You want to section out a piece of the US, and form your own country.

Further, I commit no violence on anyone. As an individual born in this country I may tolerate it, to a point. However when the other shoe drops I will indeed fight.

Not sure about the Conan Doyle reference but this is where I picked it up:

"It is a besetting vice of democracies to substitute public opinion for law. This is the usual form in which masses of men exhibit their tyranny.”

James Fenimore Cooper in "The American Democrat: Or, Hints on the Social and Civic Relations of the United States of America" (1838).

The essay is not that great (today we'd probably read it and say, "God, you are SUCH a boomer, Cooper...") but I've always rather liked the pithyness of the quote and, when setting up my Substack, decided to use it as my "handle".

I’m willing to put up a wall between my country and a neighboring pro freedom country. Cause some of my subjects don’t realize how good they have it. I may have to deploy snipers in watchtowers (kind of like a prison). I give them a loaf a bread per day, if they are willing to stand in line for 12 hours. What else could they possibly want?
