My 16 year old self thought when the Vietnam War ended and the hippies established peace and love on earth there would be no wars? ☮️ ✌️ ❤️ And brotherly love? 🫶 What happened to it?!? It was peaceful for a long time. I was a naïve teenager.

I'll get back to the article after I get off work, but I saw the still of Samantha Fish and was like, "Wait - someone else is familiar with her?" Been a fan of hers for years - her 2014 version of "I Put a Spell On You," should be required listening / viewing...

Anyhow, I'll be back later...

Thank you for your excellent essay and for quoting my post. If you read _Legacy of Ashes_ by Tim Wiener, it mentions the trip in the limousine after Eisenhower gave his farewell address. Ike said to his aide that he feared he was leaving to his successor a legacy of ashes. He was right.

The people who profit from the wars don't care, at all, how many people are maimed, wounded, killed, or traumatised. They hate humanity and God. Their wickedness is the source of these wars.

I agree Christopher God is God for all beings except the Demiurge is the "god" for many.

There is a transition in thought and perspective that must occur worldwide. It is simply that each person must begin to value all human life and freedom of choice for others as much as they value their own. Unfortunately, some of those who adhere to hate and selfishness will need to be moved to their own island, perhaps even as the UK sent 162,000 prisoners to Australia from 1788 to 1868.

Wars are always fought over land.

They can call it ideological differences, but it always comes down to land and ownership.

So as we develop our new Society, we may want to really rethink this idea before we jump from the pot to the fire.

And I will ask, once again: "Who owns the Earth?"

it is because of and ONLY because people have allowed themselves to be manipulated by propaganda. they know it. IF there were too many independent thinkers, it would not work. As a female i can say this, Women, are followers, not really leaders. they love to follow a man. this is a great tool for those that cull humanity through war. they want you to be stupid, so they have convinced people that all they need is to be pretty or to get attention, in some way. No. it is not enough.

Ivan the Russian? Him and I are definitely not enemies.

On a personal note, I have no enemies. Which leads me to believe that maybe I'm doing something wrong. But who knows? Either way, I like it. I prefer less conflict and stress than more.

I've been thinking about war intensely since the Ukraine invasion started. War is such a stupid and wasteful way to settle disagreements. iI's been going on for thousands of years. The saying that 'Power corrupts and Absolute Power corrupts absolutely' may apply to war. Those without power don't usually start war unless it is to overturn an oppressive ruler. I'll let you know when I get it all figured out. AND I am so impressed with Samantha Fish. Her guitar mastery totally grabbed me. Is she still performing?

I wish we would stop bringing democracy to other nations. It’s evil and exhausting.

Like Elias said in "person of interest"

Youthful discretion.

We all grow up Chis, Jesus made sure that we both grew up.

Let it go...I believe in you.

The ultimate cause of war is that:

1) Using violence to take other people’s stuff is often easier than making it yourself.

2) Only violence can stop violence.

"What is that cause [of war]? Flynn doesn’t choose to say, but it is profit."

A Marxist untruth. Governments start all wars, and they do so for power. Why do governments need "profit"? They own the money and the power to tax.

While a few companies will profit from a war, most will be hurt by war. War is bad for business and trade, as capital is transferred into the hands of government regulators. But war is great for the government regulators who get the capital and the power. It's why the stock market falls on rumors of war. And it's why governments start wars.

And we thought most of the anti war people were crazy with the exception of Fonda, Neil young. This news media propaganda ( thank you Nazi regime ) brainwashed the public into thinking war is good.

I'd rather move to Sweden, 0 covid, zero madates, zero deaths. I could get used to the cold.
