Oh man, I am listening to the Last Kingdom Opening now as I type this. When you make a music recommendation now, I get excited and write them down! Haha. You are so good at that. I faced an unexpected difficulty with a person today too. We are slogging through it one experience at a time but we do have this connectedness. When the rapper said "it feels like it comes from the earth" he was so right. (I haven't watched yet. I will watch it later. Just doing a drive by post here because this music is so awesome and your words have so much meaning to me) I guarantee you it DOES come from the earth! It's awesome. I hear you on the whole experience. I have one of those just about once a month these days. We are lucky that we are not "in it". May they find peace and awareness. Here is to you and your appreciation of other cultures and their music. I especially love it when I cannot make out the words or speak the language. It has even MORE meaning because I can imbue it with my own meaning. Things went well today in my unexpected lesson. I learned about how much I have grown.

I am in love with Eivor's music. Lots of different great songs.

"The Last Kingdom" was an excellent show, but it is set in the 9th century and is very violent.

We are indeed fortunate that we are not "in it," and I do feel sorry for those who are. I used to just be angry at them, because of the damage that they are doing…but I see now that they are also victims.

I am glad to hear that you had a growing experience today. Your positive outlook on things is an inspiration.

Thanks :) The kind of work I do here is so much more productive than in other places. (except for at my piano) It's helping me in many ways. It's an interesting process. I do feel extremely positively even when I am being tested. I might have a moment of "oh I feel like a jerk human now" again, but it's a very short lived feeling. The space between a thing happening and my reaction has grown wider. It gives me time to detach from the thing. Also writing helped me today. In the midst of the thing happening, I wrote and wrote. I was almost writing as though I were playing piano. I sorted it all out quickly and jumped back to the matter at hand. Now I feel good and I am not even concerned with how other people feel in their body. It turns out that I spent a lot of time thinking about how other people feel in their body and it's time to stop doing that so much now. That was part of a codependent thing that I had. I was affecting my health that way and that was contributing to blocking my mind from seeing the world more clearly. I never thought that your mindset and your thoughts could affect your body the way they do. It's good to help people and care about them, but when they act like jerks it's good to call 'em on it and give them a space to make a change in. I always think "treat them with professionalism" now. It helps a lot. I will be skipping the "imagining how they feel in their body" part. I have had experiences like what you described. I did a lot of great work toward some individuals only to find that they no longer spoke the same language as me. So, I have decided not to get in touch again. Do I love that person? Yes. If I see them, will I be genuinely happy to see them? Yes. But will I entrust them with things? No. I wish them only good things. My neighbor doesn't like me, story for another time. I sent her yard this message while watering the garden yesterday "May all your plants grow and your vegetables be large." Because, why not?

Yes, why not—indeed! There is so much to be angry at in this world, and if we choose to focus on it, we'll have reasons to be angry every minute of every day, and even beyond when we die, because it never ends. So we might as well not be angry, or at least choose a select few things to be angry at when they happen (and then let them go). And the whole "a kind word turns away wrath" thing really is true, so maybe you will melt your neighbor's heart.

I think codependency is rooted in our ultra-social nature. It can be hard to overcome that, so good for you!

It sounds like you have nicely blended openness with having boundaries. This seems like a good balance to me.

—"I never thought that your mindset and your thoughts could affect your body the way they do."

I wonder if that is what causes my chronic reflux :-(

OMG!!! SHE USED A DRUM! WHITE COLONIZER!!!

Anyone who can't feel the majesty of that and rejoice in the beauty is a fool. Looking at all that equipment on the stage, in the presence of that land and waters, I thought this is what is best of the modern age, to make a voice like that so immense.

For sure!

And in this modern age, where technology allows for greater sharing and amplification, new combinations will arise, and it will be beautiful. And the left will slowly fade in our rear-view mirrors as we move to a better world.

We are leaving the sadness of the left behind. They are still loud and powerful, but not for much longer. People like you are the future.

I cannot express how much I love this. It's impossible~ feelings are beyond words...waves and rivers of ancient frequencies that run long and run deep...through all the ages backwads and forward spanning the illusion of time. THANK YOU for bringing her to me, Christopher!
