Her lyrics are outstanding.

I am sure she would love to hear you say that. Do you follow her?

I just started following her. Algorithm Ghetto is simply amazing. Song sums up what takes me pages and lots of blabbering to express. She is super talented.

We need the songs for the inspiration and our blabbering for the details. You are doing important work too.

I am sure she will be delighted to hear that you like her work!

You’re too kind.

Tumbleweeds are the coolest weeds on the planet. They go about their business with no concern about anything, even the government trying to burn them into extinction. Tumble away you critters. But the rest of you weeds, please go hibernate for a thousand years.

Please tell me that the government is not engaged in a “War on Tumbleweeds”…

The shoe fits, guess I'll keep wearing it.! Was a tumbleweed for most of my life until I found this little spot in Texas, put down some roots for awhile. Still a non conforming alien though, but at least there are a few more of us around now-a-days.

Why yes… I’m living off grid and I got a lot of tumbleweeds on my land. I was out pulling them just now. It’s better than paying rent and mortgage.

Nice! I remember the first time I saw a tumbleweed. It was so cool! (I grew up back East.)

Lol… I’ve always kinda liked em too… so iconic… and ironic… they’re from Russia

They are? And they tumbled all the way here?

Probably thru human carriers. But, honestly, I haven’t looked that deeply and that’s just a guess. Whatever the posted answers are, might also be pre suppositions. But the could have tumbled there way across Alaska and down thru Canada to the American southwest where they found a good habitat. Honestly, the only thing I know for sure, is that they are ‘disturbance plants’ (there is another name for this. When an area of a landscape is cleared of vegetation, those areas will eventually fill in with certain types of plants… the people who owned my acre, kept most of it cleared, exposed dirt. It was literally covered in tumbleweeds. However the two lots on either side of me are mostly soft grasses and there are literally no tumbleweeds growing on them.

Disturbance plants take their opportunities where they find them. Interesting; thanks!

Yep and they are usually beneficial.

Godspeed.

By the way, I was listening to this video yesterday and I thought of you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=676Hzie2hWc

Specifically the section where he is talking about Haller's ideas of social stratification (and how it relates to ideas of caste). Hoppe/Haller would say that castes form organically based on merit as opposed to being pre-arranged.

I'm not debating the issue—just letting you know that it popped into my head while listening.

(I also found a transcript: https://mises.org/mises-wire/idea-private-law-society-case-karl-ludwig-von-haller)
