How many times do humans have to learn the same lesson?
On Independence Day, Barry Brownstein noted that
According to a late 2025 Heartland Institute/Rasmussen Reports poll, “58 percent of likely voters aged 18 to 39 support government-run grocery stores in every town in America.” Fifty-one percent of younger likely voters “say they would like to see a democratic socialist win the White House in 2028.”
Well, that’s a bummer.
Brownstein goes on to note that in every crisis, there is opportunity, and he’s right. For my part, since it is #MemeMonday, I will simply add some memes as a reminder that socialism hasn’t gotten any less failed, oppressive, or murderous just because a bunch of zoomers and millennials are too ignorant of history to know it.

As I have written in detail, starting the typical bloody revolution is probably not the way to go. But he has a point about the taxes!
Love that bottom graphic about why we fought the revolutionary war but there were a lot more reasons than that. A couple are being blocked from international trade, and housing British troops in settlers houses whenever they wanted without the settlers consent, not to mention the amount of times they went to the king to redress all of the grievances. Tax was just one reason.
The same British Empire is responsible for the taxes on the right. Yea, we got taken over again. Time to throw off the tyrants one last time.

At least 800 years - nothing changed. The poor are still poor, the slaves are now low wages workers. Welfare should not be needed at all. If everyone works, there is no need for it (with work I also mean farmers and small companies owners). Everyone who holds up a hand to receive, should be helped to receive the fruits of their own labour. People should preferrably be helped in their own country/environment. I had to smile at the recycle... the next town over had everyone buy 2 different bins, recycle and non-recycle. then an employee of the community told me there were no recycle places, and at the dump all went back together... from Europe I remember they recycled glass but it is so expensive, that only 'art glass' can be made of it. Dogs... at least mine does not wear clothes, she is being fed and for the rest, she mostly sleeps!
