Police, Hospitals, DCFS Menace Parents for Refusing Vitamin K Injection
Tell me EXACTLY how we vote our way out of this.
Full disclosure: I have not yet watched the complete video from Candace Owens (embedded below). However, I reached a point in the video that needs to be highlighted.
Watch the three minutes of the video, from 15:00, in which she discusses the parents who, for refusing vitamin K shots for their children…
had their baby taken from them for 12 hours,
were extensively interrogated by a caseworker,
had three police cars show up to their house and demand to see their children,
were investigated by DCFS for weeks for possible child neglect or endangerment.
Set aside the questions Owens raises about whether it truly is “just a vitamin.” Let’s say it is. How can the state justify forcing people to inject their children with it (NY, e.g.) or investigating and harassing parents who decline it (IL, e.g.)? These parents are not shaking their babies or neglecting them. They are simply declining something that we’ve never given to babies through all of human history up until about five minutes ago.
Let’s say you believe that there is some legitimate role for a limited government to play in our lives. How on Earth could this fall within such a government’s purview? Let’s further say that you (sensibly) believe this falls outside of any such government’s purview. How then do you prevent government from, at some point in time, arrogating the “authority” to do this? Or to undo it once government has done so?
Oh that’s easy, Christopher, you big anarchist dummy—we vote.
Ah yes, we vote. Delightful. And how is that working out for the individual human persons who live in New York and Illinois?
Sorry, folks—you may have a principled objection to allowing your babies to be injected within a few minutes of their first breaths, but that’s just too bad. You will have your babies withheld from you. You will be investigated and harassed by the authorities. Maybe they’ll even take your children. Maybe, while they’re snooping around your house, they’ll see a book on your shelves they don’t like. Maybe one of their bureaucrats just doesn’t like people like you. Maybe they won’t like the way you hang your toilet paper. There’s nothing we can do—the majority has spoken. Vox populi, vox dei.
The expression Vox populi, vox dei suggests that the voice of the majority is like unto the voice of God. It would be more accurate (and less blasphemous) to say Vox populi, vox regis—because in reality, the majority has simply replaced the king as the entity making and enforcing decisions for peaceful individuals. Think about it…
You have not hurt anyone. You’re not using force against anyone. You’re just going about your business. Then a bunch of other people vote to force you to do a certain thing (or not), or to live a certain way (or not). You must do the thing they tell you to do. You must live the way they tell you to live. And they get to use force (through their proxies in government) to make sure you comply. And your only hope is to try to do the same thing back to them.
How does that seem okay to anyone? How is “democracy” not just a euphemism for tyranny?
But Chris, people can vote to try to change the laws.
Uh huh. Tell that to people in states like Illinois, New York, and elsewhere—states with majorities that love subjecting their fellow humans to ever-more government-enforced rules. It takes generations of political and population shifts to change the fundamental political makeup of places like that. Sorry, Mr. Jones—you’re out of luck. Nothing’s going to change here in your lifetime, or your kids’ lifetimes. But hey, maybe your grandkids might have better luck. Or maybe not.
But even in the states that are less oppressive, you still have the constant battle, and the looming threat that things could change at any time.
Here is this thing that is completely violative of individual rights (forcing me and my baby to take an injection) and you are telling me that I have to spend my time organizing politically to MAYBE succeed TEMPORARILY at defending myself from it?
Sorry, but this is just how it has to be. We have to live together.
Really? Can you think of no other way in which society might be organized? This situation—where people battle to control each other’s lives—is the ultimate evolution in human organization?
Evolution does take imagination and vision—just as it took vision in the 16th and 17th centuries to begin seeing past systems of monarchy. So let’s have some more of that vision! Or, at very least, let’s start reading the work of people who already have.
Because this garbage has to end.
Shit like this is so much more common than most realize. This site been documenting it for quite a few years. Article contains many links to previous reports in addition to the main body

This is terrible. Stuff like this is why we avoid hospitals like the plague. People need to transition to home births with midwives - a lot less is forced on them (nothing actually) and there's no overbearing government and medical establishment Karens trying to coerce parents into vaccines and injections.
Also, you can just give a newborn Vitamin K drops in their mouth for a few weeks, it's the same effect and much less intrusive than the injection.
With the rising levels of autism and other disorders in children coinciding with the rising rate of CDC-mandated vaccinations, people need to take this issue seriously. The CDC mandates about 100 vaccine injections for a child born today. That's insane. It goes up every year too. We did a cost-benefit analysis for this a few years back. Not a single vaccine on the CDC schedule brings with it benefits that exceed the risks. That's from CDC published data, too. They just hope people don't dig into it and fact-check it for themselves.
You can't vote your way out of this. You have to:
1. Move to a place that is less authoritarian,
2. Homestead, homeschool, home birth, home everything. Get out of the system.
