It does seem we are living in a computer screen life, where no one in charge has responsibility for what they do or have done. A for instance, forcing dangerous untested chemical injections into billions of people’s arms with no real informed consent, killing millions and horrifically injuring ten of millions more. How about forcing masks on kids, not only kids but 6 month old babies. We’re supposed to say oh ok, yah well what are you going to do. Closing schools driving down kids IQ’s. How about all the children raped by wealthy pigs, oh that’s a hoax, there’s nothing there but 100 pages of nothing. Move along, put it behind you. Cash your 600 dollar check and shut the F up! This is what communists do, you must swallow the lies or be prosecuted for thoughts against the party. In this day of computers the party has some problems, things tend to happen much faster these days. I’m sure if the communist come back to power, over the next 5-10 years we will look at the Epstein crimes and those files as if they were nothing.
Revolution? Non-violent? As a distributed nation I think such has a chance. However if with those in control you you beg to differ from a fix abode (Branch Davidians, Ruby Ridge, Heemeyer's hell dozer, etc., etc., etc.) you'll get your story told but you won't grow old.
Distributed however, careful who you talk to how, fair exchange beyond the range of enforcers, tip your hat as your betters pass by but still make whiskey on the sly, give unto Caesar grudgingly, niggardly, many yous and mes, separated by miles and miles of miles and miles, from sea to shining sea and then some seasteads maybe, save well more than a bit for a rainy day and we just might make it through the deep dark tunnel past that light we see therein, which is an oncoming train.
Non-violent, it just might work but s I said earlier speak softy but carry a Desert Eagle, or as Christopher prefers, a 1911.
Oh, and a parenthetical aside Christopher , free sage advice well worth every cent you paid for it; (As you said you're selling your Montanaaa property, do buy a remote plot closer though, way up in the hills up 27 switchbacks to get there. Always good to have a plan B and a plot D!) ;-)
The Nickelback framing is unexpectedly sharp here because angry determination without a concrete alternative just cycles back into the same patterns. Building parallel institutions makes more sense than trying to storm or reform the existing ones. Tried organizing a mutual aid network last year and the biggest obstacle wasn't government interference but getting people to commit when it felt abstract compard to immediate problems. The community-first approach only gains traction when the old system visibly fails people, which is exactly what's happening now.
I don't want a revolution... Going 'round and 'round. I want an emergence from the mess We see to a vastly better setup. One in which Humanity is not slave-chained by money, where the chains can be pulled to get Us to do what the moneyed masters want Us to do.
Realistically, since you're in the USA, you should try to set up a community somewhere.
Really. I think fighting the system is a loosing proposition, one which will land you in a lot of trouble.
I just watched a great podcast of Scott Ritter and Garland Nixon.
Unfortunately all the noble fighters, you're in a minority.
The good news with DJT is the masks are being ripped off like a bad Brazilian wax job. The bad news is it's not smooth skin underneath, it's ugly putrid decay.
Over Venezuela a good portion of the alternative new right turned into chimps in heat. This is the ugly truth. Even those annoyed with DJT at his Israel and Ukraine policy are suddenly chest thumping and waxing lyrically about international law not existing and American supremacy.
Best thing is to take a step back and check out of the madness. Create real living alternatives outside the system.
I understand if you think it sounds defeatist, but just wait until the war drums start, then 80% or more of "the people" will turn into rabid patriots. Forget that the same agencies they were complaining about until two days ago will be now setting up the target list, but alas humanity today doesn't have any hope.
It doesn't matter who we vote into office.
A reckoning is coming and we'll all be taken along for the ride.
So realistically dodging the bullet is a better proposition.
We're so hooked on Soma no one even knows what a revolution looks like or needs to accomplish.
Give it three more years as El Trumpo is saving us. The Somalis make such excellent profiteers that the DC Cesspool is jealous. They will be given jobs in DC. We are attacking dangerous nations and getting ready to annex more. We can never have enough property to tax. Cally billionaires might be facing a 5% tax on their wealth which will go towards supporting illegals needing healthcare. As the country slips into recession, the gov is ready to provide $5 trillion in "survival" payouts. Heck, even RFK flipped the food pyramid upside down so that we can all get more chemically poisoned veggies and fruits. It's a fantastic country. Your government allows you to smoke, sniff, inject and drink your way through their tyranny. See, they do care.
"I can't wait for civil war so MY ideology can arise from the ashes," said every conceivable ideology.
In my view, the best option is steady, negotiated collapse, but the fed will claw at every opportunity to preserve power and deploy its alphabet soup agencies to terrorize people. Either way, mass conflict should be avoided if at all possible.
In the meantime, we should start building the kinds of institutions we want—the kind that would be needed in the event of collapse, to produce a condition of consensual order rather than chaos.
Grey markets, dual power structures, community mutual aid systems (I said it, there's a few ideas the lefties got right), these things can greatly help. When we build places where the state has no meaningful authority, we build places that can ride out the storm in better shape than others.
I don't think it's *specifically* lefty - IIRC you can find writings by people like Benjamin Tucker and Lysander Spooner writing favorably about it - but it modern times it's definitely associated with the left. It's an idea the right needs to reassert.

"No sir, we're not 'anti-government.' We're 'pro-consent'."
(Buying new property is the plan!)

100 percent!
Please tell me more about your mutual aid efforts. Very few people actually attempt such practical solutions.

I want Us to emerge into an Ethical anarchy.
Ethical Anarchy (article): https://amaterasusolar.substack.com/p/ethical-anarchy
Hahaha.
You wish.

—Yes, this is the way. I do not believe fighting the system directly, or attempting to "reform" it, are the way to go. Time to build a new world.
There will be rivers of blood - Enoch Powell
Hopefully such things can be avoided. I know that sometimes they cannot, but we should try while we can.
It's not up to us. There are great powers involved. Eph 6:12

Don't mince words, Crixcyon—tell us how you really feel!
"Head high. protest line, Freedom scribbled on your sign."
Canadians that couldn't imagine protesting were doing just that 5 years later.
Weird. Great weightlifting tunes from this band.
Maybe we'll all wake up eventually…

Very well said.
(Community mutual aid is a compassionate idea, but is it a lefty one? I suppose it depends on how we define "left.")

Max has written a lot about it.

Love Max! Underthrow is a great book for beginners and seasoned anarchists/voluntaryists alike. I point folks to his work all the time.
Definitely.
