..."And why shouldn’t you try to live a beautiful life?"...and that life is yours to create for yourself. In that, you can forget what the "experts" tell you is a beautiful life. No judgements, just living as you please.

Good point, excellent addition.

So true. I saw the posts about Fauci but I have seen more than enough of that face.

What I watch in the news? what happens in my region and in the region my family in Belgium lives in. That news also contains updates on the terrible fires in Spain, France and Greece. I read about the earthquakes, first Venezuela, and now Japan, and pray for all the people involved - the ones who lost their lives, their families and friends, for all that lost their homes and all that was in it, the animals without humans and the humans who lost their animals...

I deleted all the doom thinkers from my Substack list and am deleting a few more soon. I only keep those that are uplifting, or give good advise. One can never have enough of those. I also deleted from my feed all the miracle doctors - both the pharma and the 'holistic' ones. Not everything works for everyone. There is usually more worthy advise in the comments (specially on the Tube) than there is in the articles or videos. And I deleted everything from my feed that is AI. If they cannot read their lines themselves they are not worth listening to. And for the rest I do my best to make my life worthy of living. We are going to start again with a small (4 or 5) choir next month. We do our best to meet up a few times a year with a group of friends. Not easy as most are busy people. I do my best to care for my elderly dog. And for my own, elderly self.

These are wise choices. Living a beautiful life is one of the best forms of defiance.

Your words strike a chord eliciting tears....and everyone knows a chord is sonic geometrical perfection in the form of harmony, resonance, Truth.

My visceral response to your words only serves to demonstrate the power inherent in them.

If your mind spoken through your heart from many hours away can change my body chemistry in the blink of an eye, there is no telling what other magnificent things we are capable of simply by stating, intending, speaking them to life.

It's such a gift to know you and consider you a friend, M. Christopher Cook. 💖

I feel the very same, sweetheart.

And you know, I was having a somewhat related thought yesterday…

My favorite thing that has ever been on a screen is the Robin of Sherwood series from the early-mid 80s. Campy, low-budget, some funky acting, and it’s the most wonderful thing to me. It’s one of the few things that I rewatch over and over.

Yesterday, I was watching as Lady Marion looked into the shiny blade of Albion (Robin’s sword) and had a vision, and it reminded me of the real magics I have experienced in my life.

Magic is definitely real. And, as you say, words are one form of magic. (So we should wield them for good!)

Hat Bailey's avatar

Something magical about the word "Sherwood." Reminds me of one of my ancestors Sherwood Hatley, who is one of the things that inspired my nickname. Are these "Robin of Sherwood" series on youtube Christopher?

Christopher Cook's avatar

Yep! I don’t know which will be the best quality, but they’re there. This is how the first episode begins: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIZA-zeEXSQ

Hat Bailey's avatar

Thanks Christopher, I'll be watching it tonight.

Christopher Cook's avatar

❤️ I hope you enjoy it. It’s iconic for me, but it’s obviously a bit dated at this point, quality-wise.

Also, it has the amazing music Clannad wrote especially for it.

Hat Bailey's avatar

I watched the first episode last night. It was a bit campy, but I liked it. Will watch the second episode tonight if I have time.

Christopher Cook's avatar

Tell us about Sherwood Hatley!

Hat Bailey's avatar

He lived in the South in Civil War times. Born in 1804 and was executed by order of Union General Stephen Burbridge in 1864, considered by many to be a Confederate martyr. He was a well respected farmer and beloved pastor in Kentucky, who took up arms with the Confederacy. The execution was in retaliation for the death of a Unions soldier near Jeffersontown, Kentucky. The Daughters of the Confederacy erected a monument to him in the Jeffersontown cemetary in 1904.

Christopher Cook's avatar

Wow. I have come to understand, in recent years, just how completely monstrous Reconstruction was. I knew it was horribly bad, but I didn’t realize just how intentionally bad it was made. Vicious and vindictive.

Jacqueline Rendell's avatar

You just never know the direction from where inspiration is gonna hit. You just got me in the mood for such a flick. It's been a long time since I watched it!

After I squeeze the juice from my day, I think I'll reward myself with some campy magic. It is a flavour I am particularly fond of. 🤩🩷

Christopher Cook's avatar

It’s like comfort food.

Love it Jaaueline!

Thank you, Hat! 🌷

You're welcome JaCQueline!

Very well said Christopher! Words of sanity in a world knee deep in insanity. Don't cooperate with their efforts to make you feel at the effect of their psychosis, they don't deserve any validation of their attempt to destroy your peace and feed their sickness. The answer lies in the power of the individual to create their way out of the traps they have set for us. Time to create you own "reality tunnel" in this world instead of unconsciously cooperating in creating theirs.

Christopher Cook's avatar

Right on.

Hat, have you ever considered writing some of your wisdom as “advice” or observations or anything like that?

Hat Bailey's avatar

That is what my substack essays are for Christopher. (Hat Bailey@xandara) I hope to adapt these as chapters of a future book I plan to write. I have neglected my substack for awhile as I am undergoing an energetic transformation that may affect some of my writings and thought and it is taking a lot of my time presently.

Christopher Cook's avatar

What sort of energetic transformation?

Hat Bailey's avatar

I don't know if you have noticed it but there are intense energies coming into our system at this time and amplifying both negative and positive aspects in our lives. For me particularly it has become time to start shedding some of the early programming and blockages that were formed in my early life that some call "the survivor" which meant that a deep feeling that authenticity should be suppressed and one needed to learn to perform what was expected in order to survive in this world. One needed to be or pretend to be smaller, quieter, and develop a sort of personality camouflage to be safe and accepted in this world. Breaking that kind of programming stirs up some turbulence as this part of one's mind will use the kind of self sabotage that deflects too much success, influence or notice that feels very unsafe to that part of your self concept.

Christopher Cook's avatar

I think that is an excellent thing to work on. I was recently speaking with my wife about what effects one’s childhood and early life has on the present-day versions of ourselves. It’s a real thing!

As far as the energies, yes, I have noticed. My wife and I are happy, maybe even happier than ever, but we are watching some strange things happen to some of the folks around us…

Jacqueline Rendell's avatar

Beautifully stated, and I could not agree more, Hat. True sovereignty is choosing what to think, how to feel, how to act. 💖

Hat Bailey's avatar

True Jacqueline, this requires finding and becoming your authentic self, and thinking and acting from that essence without performing what anything or anyone external to you expects or prefers. This also requires developing the courage and self confidence and integrity needed in order to be expressed in action in a world where fear is installed early when survival in the early vulnerable years almost guarantees that the wrong patterns of behavior are inevitably installed. Breaking these is your freedom.

Jacqueline Rendell's avatar

Here's to breaking pattern! 🔥

Hat Bailey's avatar

Amen!!

"All of those activities are understandable. All of them are, in a sense, worthy. There is technically nothing wrong with staying informed. Any outrage you feel is entirely justified. And most of the conspiracies are likely true and deserve to be exposed."

The realization of how corrupt our world really is quite naturally causes a moment of anguish or rage, but like when you have struck your thumb with a hammer or burned yourself on a stovetop, there is more than one way to respond. You can throw the hammer through a window or punch the wall, or you can compose yourself, consider what has happened to avoid future trauma and keep the memory of this pain for future reference.

Christopher Cook's avatar

That is an excellent and apt metaphor.

I agree. Of course, building a good life can be problematic when One is targeted. When One spends a decade applying to 35-50 jobs a day, getting nearly 100 offers but then all of them never get back with when/where to start, and ignore emails and calls...

At some point One sees it's a waste of time, and must accept living in poverty, homeless and all.

And... The feelings We have are those We chose - We can choose differently. I see all the rot the moneyed psychopaths in control on Our planet (by virtue of money) are creating for Humanity on Our planet, and choose to be driven all the more to solve for Them. (My work is likely the reason I am targeted...)

Still, I will not be brought down.

I adore Your work, Christopher, and thank You greatly!

I constantly need to remind myself of this, it is so easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of 'all the crazy shit' that is happening around the world. It is an absolute necessity for one's mental and spiritual sanity to disengage from all that noise and just 'be in the world' and find the beauty and peace that comes with that.

Christopher Cook's avatar

Amen. I need to remind myself periodically too!

Interesting diatribe regarding the reality of the matter. We can appreciate your advice and some of us will be able to do that. But if we don't prevent the coming digital currency situation. Most people won't be able to do anything based upon their own beliefs or way of life. It's really up to our generation to end the plans laid out by the establishment. But it's not a simple transition and takes the same amount of people that are currently invading the entire western hemisphere as we speak. I can't even hope that many Americans would stop what they're doing and band together for a couple months until the bought idiots that make the rules on behalf of the American Republic are deposed indefinitely.

Christopher Cook's avatar

There are multiple vectors from which to accomplish those aims, though. Most people are using conventional means. One more person doing the conventional thing isn’t going to make a difference. But adding a few thousand to some new, unconventional approaches adds a new vector. It pushes on the wall from a new angle. That helps.
