Is Trump Hate Desensitizing People to a Final Solution Against MAGAs?
TDS might be conditioning—to get people to welcome whatever the regime does to anyone who dares protest their oppressions.
I have been on the road a fair amount over the last month—first, a short trip to Connecticut; then, 11 days in Florida—a trip from which I just returned. You might not have known because I still put out content, and because I continued to reply to all your comments. That’s just how I roll—you are my employers, and I have a job to do.
While on these trips, I got to observe some people with whom I do not otherwise interact on a daily basis. And I developed some disturbing insights in the process.
First…
Trump-hate is literally an addiction. And I literally mean the word “literally” literally, not figuratively, the way so many young people do when they use the word “literally.”
I am not going to mention names or describe relationships. I will simply say that
The people in question know that all cable news makes me ill, and MSNBC most of all.
The people in question also know that while I am not a part of the MAGA crowd, and don’t even especially like Donald Trump,
I do not believe he is guilty of the crimes of which he is charged. The whole thing is a corrupt show-trial worthy of any Orwellian state or banana republic.
I do not believe that J6 was an “insurrection.”
I do not believe that he colluded with Russia or any of the other garbage they have tried to pin on him for the last eight years.
He is a cad, a blowhard, and an egomaniac. He should have fired Fauci before he hired him, and the fact that he did Operation Warp Speed means I will never trust him again. But he is not what the Trump-Deranged say he is, nor has he done what the Trump-Deranged say he has done.
The people in question know that subjecting me to an incessant barrage of cable-news Trump diatribes is not good for our relationship.
And yet the people in question simply could not help themselves. MSNBC’s Trump-is-the-Devil perma-tantrum was frequently on in the background. It was the channel that was on when we all got together to watch something else on TV. And the people in question snuck off to watch it, like an alcoholic taking a nip from a flask.
Addictions involve receptors in the brain. Nicotine fits into a nicotine-shaped receptor. Heroin and sugar fit into their appropriate receptors. I am not a scientist, but I believe it is possible to develop a Trump-hate-shaped receptor in the brain—one which eagerly, even desperately, awaits molecules of Trump-hate.
While that is more a colorful metaphor than actual science, we know that certain thought patterns become ingrained and then, once ingrained, very hard to escape—like a deep rut in a muddy dirt road. Studies have shown, for example, that chronic complainers eventually have difficulty not complaining. They (figuratively) burn a complaining loop into their thought patterns.
This is happening with Trump-hate. The repetition burns the loop in their head…and the sense of superiority they feel by hating him makes it a craved sensation—an addiction.
Second…
On one of the last days of my trip, I was in a different house—not the MSNBC house, but another house in which people openly expressed vitriolic Trump-hate. No thought was given to who else was in the house or what our opinions might be. It was open, unmitigated hate.
And suddenly, as the day of our departure drew near, a deeply disturbing thought occurred to me. Roughly speaking, it was something like this:
Every mainstream narrative-creation operation in the country is programming people with Trump hate, 24-7-365. What if the purpose has less to do with Trump, and more to do with conditioning people to dehumanize Trump’s supporters? And what if the purpose of dehumanizing Trump’s supporters is so that the Trump-hating masses will not care what eventually might be done to those supporters?
Here’s a possible scenario…
First, there is no way that Biden won the 2020 election legitimately. The math does not work. He lost nearly all the bellwether counties that winners always win. He lost surprising numbers of counties that Obama won—that Democrats generally win—yet somehow exceeded Obama’s nationwide total by millions of votes. This is not possible. Anyone not addled by the narrative knows that Biden’s ‘victories’ in the needed states came from a small number of precincts whose totals flipped in the middle of the night under shady circumstances.
Most normies have fallen for the propaganda that only a crazy person, or a “traitor,” would question the integrity of the 2020 election. But that crap doesn’t work on me. I didn’t have to be a hardcore MAGA to know that, by whatever means, that election was stolen. I just needed basic logic and arithmetic skills.
Many people know that 2020 was a farce. And they expect 2024 to be as well, despite whatever small improvements have been made in a couple of states’ vote-counting procedures.
So what happens in November 2024? If Biden (or some less-desiccated person by whom he is replaced at the convention) wins, many people won’t believe it was legit. I probably won’t. And MAGA people absolutely will not accept such a result.
So what do they do then? Protest? Civil disobedience? Calls for secession or national divorce? Other more assertive actions?
And how will the authorities react? What will they do to them?
What if Trump-hate has been carefully conditioned so that the mass of Trump-haters across the country won’t care what the authorities do to them? To condition them not to react. Maybe even to condition them to gleefully welcome whatever is done, no matter how violent—just the way the “Two Minutes Hate” conditioned the people of Oceania in Orwell’s 1984.
After all, they have already been conditioned to accept that the J6 “insurrectionists” were “traitors” who deserved to be held in miserable conditions without trial or habeas corpus. And they have had four years of conditioning since that day.
All of this is based on a speculative thought, but I think it is highly plausible.
Indeed, as a friend pointed out a couple of days ago, we also saw it during Covidmania: everyone who opposed masking, lockdowns, vaccines, or any of the other pointless, draconian measures (ostensibly) taken to “stop the spread” was successfully demonized in the minds of millions of normies. And they remain so to this day.
Even if people are not being intentionally conditioned to dehumanize MAGAs and anyone else who might protest
another stolen election,
another plandemic and its associated oppressions,
imposition of CBDC, or
some other fresh hell to which our overlords decide to subject us,
the de facto effect is the same.
Most of the people who will protest a stolen election overlap with those who would protest 2., 3., and 4. People on the MAGA, conservative, and libertarian right were all more likely to oppose Covidtalitarianism, for example, and would form the main group opposing to CBDC or whatever else. So the overlap will be close enough for most narrative-addled normies.
Based on what I have seen so far, I don’t think the normie masses will much care what happens to us the next time we oppose blatant oppression. Indeed, they may even cheer it on.
Could that have been the point all along?

PS: Trump-hating normies—this is exactly what you look like:
dude.
I’m a contractor in Texas. in 2021 I had 3-4 clients that I did several weeks long remodels on their houses in Austin. all of them had at least one yard sign or Fauci votive candle or Kamala action figure etc, etc.
every night as I was leaving, each family sat down to eat in the living room and turned on MSNBC for the two minutes hate. Trump was no longer president but they had become so addicted that it didn’t matter. and cable news seemed to always have Trump hate on during dinner time. it was bizarre.
perhaps the most interesting aspect was that these were very nice, warm people. but the dichotomy was so strange to see them seethe so much. I have no doubt they wanted the unvaccinated to be shunned, starved and denied medical care. and yet they were perfectly pleasant in every other sense. in a quiet way, it was terrifying...
A "friend" of mine recently, after I pointed out that the democrat party, media and intelligence community have an unholy relationship embracing authoritarianism, called me a fascist, misogynist, bigot and clueless idiot. I had never been anything but kind and friendly to him. That is when I knew, he would not just stay silent if the State arrested me, he would cheer and slander me.
